Southern Tennessee Endodontics is open Monday-Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm. For patients who may be experiencing pain or have an emergency, our goal is to schedule your appointment that same day. We strive to keep our appointments on schedule; however, due to emergency and microsurgical-based treatments, various circumstances may lengthen the time allocated for a procedure. We appreciate your understanding and want you to know the same care and dedication to quality will be provided during your appointment as well.

Appointments are scheduled with time allotted for patient education and discussion. It is important to us to have the opportunity to get to know each individual patient and address any questions or concerns prior to treatment. At the initial appointment we discuss: your chief complaint (the symptom or group of symptoms about which the patient first consults the doctor), the diagnosis of the tooth/teeth, your treatment options along with the risks/benefits/alternatives to each option, a walk-through of the root canal procedure (if you would like), and what to expect before, during, and after the procedure.

Treatment is never begun until these concerns have been addressed and any questions answered satisfactorily.

Some helpful items to bring to your appointment:

  1. Your referral slip from your family dentist.
  2. X-rays, if provided – we often take additional x-rays to help us with diagnosis and to provide the best possible treatment.
  3. A list of your current medications.
  4. Your insurance card and any insurance information.
  5. If the patient is under the age of 18, they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
